Hello! Here is a short mindful walking practice!
For this practice, you don’t need much space. Just a few steps forward and back is enough. It is preferable to keep your eyes open when walking.
Let’s begin by standing still, with your feet on the ground.
Feeling your body upright, balanced, and steady.
Before we start moving, take one deep breath and feel the ground beneath your feet.
You can begin to walk slowly.
Lifting one foot… moving it forward… and gently putting it down.
Then lifting the other foot… moving… and putting.
Step by step, noticing the feeling of your feet touching the ground. [3 sec pause]
When you reach the end of your space, you may simply turn around, and walk back the other way.
There’s no hurry.
Just moving slowly, with awareness on your feet.
If your mind gets distracted, that’s okay.
Simply returning to the sensation of walking — lifting, moving, putting.
Now, slowly coming to a stop.
Noticing your feet on the ground, and your body standing still.
