Objective: To encourage students to reflect on who they are when they are offline and to reconnect with a calmer, more authentic sense of self.
Instructions:
1. Sit comfortably. Take one slow breath and feel your feet on the ground.
2. Write freely for about three minutes using one of these prompts:
3. “Offline, I am someone who…”
4. “Without my phone, I notice…”
5. “I feel most real when…”
6. Write without stopping or editing—just let the words flow.
7. When time is up, underline one word or sentence that feels true or surprising.
8. Optional: Share that sentence with a partner or keep it private.
Reflection Questions:
1. What did you discover about your offline self?
2. How does being offline feel in your body or mind?
3. What surprised you about what you wrote?
4. When or where do you most easily find that sense of calm or focus?
