Objective: To help students ground themselves in the present moment by noticing physical sensations through touch.
Instructions:
1. Pause for a moment and choose something nearby—your desk, clothes, backpack, or any object within reach.
2. Gently touch the object and focus on its details for a few seconds.
3. Notice its texture—smooth, rough, soft, or hard.
4. Pay attention to its temperature—warm, cool, or neutral.
5. If you like, close your eyes to deepen the experience.
Optional Reflection:
1. What do I sense? Is there anything surprising about this object?
2. What textures or temperatures did you notice?
3. Was it easy or hard to stay focused on the sensation?
4. Did this short pause change how you felt?
