Kick Off Meeting in Brno, Czech Republic
We are excited to share that the “WellbeingInSchools: Enhancing Resilience and Well-being of All Students in Primary Schools” project has officially launched with the successful organization of its Kick-Off Meeting!
This forward-thinking project is dedicated to fostering mental and emotional wellbeing in schools through the use of Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs), innovative digital tools, and comprehensive training for teachers. The project brings together partners from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece, Finland, and Ireland, all committed to creating healthier and more resilient school communities across Europe.
The project began with a dynamic Kick-off Meeting in Brno, Czech Republic (11–12 December 2024). Representatives from all partner countries gathered to discuss the project’s two-year implementation and embark on a collaborative and impactful journey. Key outcomes of the meeting included:
- Planning the development of a mindfulness toolkit and a dedicated mobile app to support classroom wellbeing practices.
- Designing training programmes for teachers to build capacity in delivering mindfulness-based activities.
- Preparing a structured action research plan for implementing and evaluating mindfulness in real school environments.
- Establishing effective management, communication, and dissemination strategies to ensure the project’s success and reach across Europe.
The WellbeingInSchools project represents a shared commitment to empowering educators to combat their burnout and supporting students’ holistic development. We are confident that our collaborative efforts will lead to evidence-based practices that promote emotional resilience and mental health from an early age.
Stay tuned for more updates on our activities, resources, and progress throughout the project.
