Taking three slow breaths in\u2026 and out.<br><br>Now, let\u2019s tune in to the world of sounds around you.<br>Noticing what you can hear &#8211; maybe sounds that are close by or far away, maybe soft or loud.<br>Just letting the sounds be there, and listening to them.<br>You may imagine yourself like a microphone, picking up sounds just as they are \u2014 without needing to name them or thinking about what they mean.<br>Just letting the sounds come and go.<br>There is no need to search or strain.<br>Sounds are arriving on their own \u2014 voices, movement, maybe even silence.<br>Meeting them with a sense of curiosity as they appear and fade.<br>Sometimes a thought may pop up, or you might get distracted.<br>That\u2019s completely OK. If you notice that, you may simply return to listening to sounds.<br>You may also notice the quiet space between sounds, the little gap before another sound appears.
