You\u2019re in charge.<br><br>Let\u2019s begin by noticing how you&#8217;re standing right now.<br>Maybe pause for a moment and feel your feet on the ground. [2 sec pause] Are your arms swinging, or still by your sides?<br>You don\u2019t need to change anything.<br>Just noticing your body at this moment is already enough.<br><br>Now, you may bring your attention to your feet.<br><br>Gently beginning to walk, lifting one foot up, moving it forward and putting it down.<br>And then another foot.<br>With each step, you may feel the ground supporting you\u2014as if the Earth is saying, \u201cI\u2019ve got you.\u201d<br><br>If your attention drifts &#8211; maybe to a bird, a sound, or a thought, it is totally okay.<br>You may just gently bring it back to your steps.<br><br>Now, let\u2019s open up our senses a little, while you are walking.<br>What do you see around you?<br>Colors, shapes, maybe light and shadow.<br><br>You may try seeing it like a movie scene\u2014no need to judge or label, just observe what\u2019s there. [3 sec pause]<br>What sounds can you hear?<br>Maybe the sound of your footsteps, the wind, traffic, people, or birds.<br>Let the sounds come and go, like trains passing through a station.<br>You don\u2019t have to get on the train\u2014just let it pass. [3 sec pause]<br><br>Now, you may notice the feeling of the air on your skin.<br>Is it warm, cool, or dry? Can you feel it on your cheeks or hands? [3 sec pause]<br><br>And now you may notice the rhythm of your breath\u2014maybe it is short or long, fast or slow.<br>There\u2019s no right way to breathe. Just breathing in\u2026 and out\u2026<br><br>Now, you might take a moment to notice or imagine one small thing that could bring you joy or appreciation. Even tiny things can be like secret treasures when we really notice them.<br>Maybe a smile on somebody&#8217;s face, a bird singing in the distance, the sensation of breath entering and leaving your body, or the way your clothes feel. [3 sec pause]<br><br>If your mind gets caught in thoughts, you can notice them, maybe even smile at them, and gently guide your attention back\u2026<br>to this step\u2026<br>this breath\u2026<br>this moment.<br><br>Now you may stop walking and return your focus to your posture.<br>How does your body feel now, after a few minutes of walking this way?<br>Noticing your feet\u2014how they meet the ground, how they\u2019re held by it.<br>Maybe sensing your breath again.<br><br>You may give yourself some credit for taking this time for yourself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi there, and welcome to this mindful walk.You can do this activity outside or indoors, at your own pace.There\u2019s no rush.You can stop or step out of this practice at any time.
